SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A Sioux City man has been charged with making threats of terrorism for posting a question on Facebook whether he needed to "shoot up a mall before people understand."

Prosecutors say in court documents that 22-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez posted "suicidal- and homicidal-themed messages" on the social networking site between August second and August 9th.  Police say the posts on Rodriguez's Facebook profile couldn't be seen by the general public.

The documents say Rodriguez' comments ranged from speaking of killing himself to referencing himself as a killer who was going to "load up his guns."

Someone who read the comments became alarmed and called police.

Rodriguez was being held in the Woodbury County Jail on $10,000 bail.
