Some Nebraska schools welcomed students back to school

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) -

Covington Elementary kids in South Sioux City, Nebraska went to school for a half day.

Many say they played games, met their teachers and new friends.

"My teacher was really nice and we got snacks and it was really fun," Andrew Berg, a 5th grader said.

"We colored and then we played at recess," Allanise Espinoza, a 2nd grader said.

"Writing because it's so much fun," Chris Love, a 3rd grader said.

"I liked that at the end we played heads up seven up and that they showed us where we need to go and like the PE room and everything," Mario Monroy, a 3rd grader said.

The students say they had a good summer but are ready to work hard this new year and learn.
