SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

The trial has been delayed for a Sioux City man charged with bludgeoning two people in their sleep with a crowbar.

James Kroll, 23, was scheduled to go on trial next week in Woodbury County.

The judge has now delayed it until November 13th.

Kroll is accused of first-degree murder, attempted murder and first-degree burglary.

Sioux City Police say he broke into Mary Tope's northside home before dawn on June 13th and attacked Tope, and her boyfriend, 54-year-old Jeffrey Moravec, while they slept.

Moravec died of his injuries.
