Briar Cliff continuing education student, Taleen Brady, will be heading overseas to teach English.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Ever wonder what teaching on the other side of the world would be like?
Briar Cliff continuing education student, Taleen Brady, will soon find out.
Last Spring, she applied for the "English Program in Korea".
After going through the interview process, she was selected for the unique opportunity to teach Korean students English.
Brady says while it's exciting, there's some things to be nervous about too.
"When I'm in Korea, I will not look like everyone, and I barely speak the language. I really can only say like one word. So, all of the changes that come with that, I think is what I'm going to experience, and I'm hoping to apply that to being a teacher in the future," said Taleen Brady, Briar Cliff Continuing Education Student.
Brady takes off Saturday morning for the Chungbuk Providence of Korea.
She'll be teaching there for one year.
