Kansas City hit three home runs in the third inning in Wednesday's 9-3 win over Sioux City.

The Sioux City Explorers saw their brief two game winning streak come to an end with a 9-3 loss to the Kansas City T-Bones on Wednesday night.
After scoring two runs in the second inning on a pair of sacrifice flies, Kansas City scored six runs in the third inning to take an 8-0 lead. The T-Bones hit three home runs off of X's starter Aaron Correa, who was pulled with one out in the third.
Peter Barrows hit a solo home run in the ninth inning for Sioux City, who fell to 40-49 on the season. Wally Backman, Junior, had a solo homer in the fifth and Yusuke Inoguchi also drove in a run for the X's. Sioux City first baseman Jorge Delgado had three hits.
The three game series ends on Thursday at 7:05 at Lewis and Clark Park.
