Man pleads guilty in Select Foods robbery

A judge has sentenced a Sioux City man to 25 years for the robbery of a local grocery store, last month.

18-year-old Stanislaus Firecloud pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree Robbery, Assault While Participating In a Felony, and 1st-Degree Theft following the incident at Select Foods at 1730 Pierce Street.

Back on July 10th, police say Firecloud went into the store, and went to the beer cooler.

They say he then tried to hide several cans of alcohol and leave the store without paying.

A store employee confronted him before he left... and that's when authorities say Firecloud hit the employee with a "pipe like" item and fled the scene.
