NORFOLK, Neb (KTIV/US92) -
Norfolk Mayor Sue Fuchtman has kicked off her re-election campaign. With the election just two-and-a-half months away, she officially launched her campaign at an event Thursday night attended by several local leaders and Norfolk residents.
Fuchtman says one of her goals, if re-elected, is to work towards more citizen involvement in city issues. "While I can talk about the fact that our partnerships have really expanded…with the Chamber it's become much stronger and our visitors bureau…we have so many organizations that are aware of what's going on, but I'm not sure how do we get the message out to citizens that they need to be a part of the process as well," said Fuchtman.
Fuchtman will face current city councilman Dave Fauss in the November general election.
