Arson suspected in string of unsolved fires in Marcus, IA

MARCUS, Iowa (KTIV) -

Authorities in Cherokee County, Iowa, need your help investigating four fires in the town of Marcus.

The first fire, which caused only minor damage, happened in the 300 block of Ames Avenue shortly after midnight on the morning of Tuesday, August 21st. The second fire followed about three hours later in the 100 block of East Fenton Street. Later that morning, another arson attempt. This one was in the 300 block of Holmes Street.

A few days later, another attempted arson in the 400 block of North Ash Street.

If anyone has any information about these fires, call the Cherokee County Sheriff at (712) 225-6728.
