Former Wayne State quarterback Cyle Schultz has transferred to Benedictine College in Illinois.
WAYNE, Neb (KTIV) -
At Wayne State's media day, ten days ago, the starting quarterback job was still up for grabs between Cyle Schultz and Nate Most. The competition is over because Schultz has transferred to Benedictine College in Illinois, according to KTIV/US-92's Erik McKay in our Norfolk bureau. That means Most will likely be the starting QB when the Wildcats to Minnesota-Moorhead on Saturday.
Schultz was Wayne State's opening day starter in 2011, before being injured on the third play of the season. Schultz's twin brother Chris is a wide receiver for Benedictine and also transferred there from Wayne State. Wayne State officials say both transferred to be closer to home.

Nixon beat out Lehi Tonga for the starting spot. Tonga was a two-year starter at Briar Cliff before transferring. Redshirt Freshman Christian Nohr, from Crofton, Nebraska, is listed as the second string quarterback.
Eighth-ranked Morningside hosts #17 Valley City State of North Dakota on Thursday night at Olsen Stadium at 7:00 PM.
