SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Retirement security, the drought and the farm bill will be the focus when Iowa Senator Tom Harkin comes to Siouxland Wednesday and Thursday. He has three stops scheduled in northwest Iowa where folks can meet with him and share their thoughts.
Wednesday afternoon at one, Harkin will be at the Ida Grove Family Table Restaurant. Then at 3:30, he'll be at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City, room W-108. Thursday morning at 9:45, the senator will be in Spencer at the Area Activity Center.
Harkin says he is hosting the events to start a discussion about what he calls the retirement crisis in our country. Area Iowans are encouraged to come out and talk to him at all of these appearances.
