SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) -

A Spencer, Iowa, man is charged with beating a man so badly that he's in critical condition.

Police arrested 21-year-old Christopher Fitzpatrick on Wednesday.

He's charged with Willful Injury. Fitzpatrick was charged after Spencer police were called to the 500 block of East 3rd Street early Monday morning for a man that was having difficulty breathing.

There, they found 59-year-old Edward Kitto had been badly beaten.

Also charged in connection with the case; 21-year-old Cody Millard, of Spencer.

He's charged with Interference. Police expect more arrests.
