The United Way of Siouxland set their fundraising goal at $3 million this year.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
More than $3-million. That's the fundraising goal of the United Way of Siouxland this year. The agency kicked off its annual campaign with a rally at Wednesday morning at Western Iowa Technical Community College. The United Way works with more than 30 community partners and initiatives in Siouxland to improve the health, wealth and education of Siouxlanders.
"I believe United Way is one of the best ways to contribute back to the community," said Tim Stiles, President of United Way of Siouxland. "It's involved in making a difference in the community that impacts everybody, raises the standard of living."
All donations to United Way of Siouxland go directly to its programs and partners. 70 companies have already donated 300 hundred thousand dollars towards the agency's goal.
