Iowa Lake Community College hosts annual Farm Expo & Tractor Ride

EMMETSBURG, Iowa (KTIV) -

Farmers will get some insight on agriculture at Iowa Lakes Community College Thursday. The Farm Field Day and Expo at the college's farm lab will feature tours of the facility and keynote speaker Bill Northey, Iowa's Secretary of Agriculture. The event starts at 4:30 Thursday afternoon, with a free meal served at 5. Northey will address the group at 6.

In conjunction with the Farm Expo, the Iowa Lakes will hold its third annual Tractor Ride from 9am to 3pm Thursday. The cost is 25-dollars which include a breakfast, lunch, t-shirt and a donation to scholarships for the Ag programs at Iowa Lakes.

The public is invited to attend both the Tractor Ride and the Farm Field Day & Expo to learn more about agriculture as well as Iowa Lakes Community College.
