Semi tire gets the best of the barn at 6707 6th Ave.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A semi tire blasts through the side of a Sioux City barn.
The barn's owners, Randy and Linda Olsen, say it happened Thursday morning.
They say a truck was headed south on the Highway 75 bypass when it lost a tire. The rubber runaway bounced down a hill, broke through a fence, and smashed through the side of the barn.
Police found it inside. The wheel toppled some tools and knocked over a bicycle.
The Olsens say no one was injured.
Trucking officials say an average semi tire weighs around 150 pounds.
