The Sioux City Explorers (43-53) continued to pile up the runs on Thursday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 10-1 landslide win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes (54-42) at Shaw Park.
Peter Barrows had three extra-base hits for the Explorers, who won in Winnipeg for the second straight night after losing their previous seven games there.
Sioux City relied on Richard Salazar to eat up innings en route to the win. Salazar pitched all nine innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and three walks while striking out six.
Brian Bistagne, Barrows and Jorge Delgado combined for 11 hits and six RBI's.
The four-game series ends on Friday. Sioux City will return home on Saturday to play the final three games of the season against Kansas City.
