Record highs hit Siouxland as Labor Day approaches

Posted:
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Temperatures reaching as high as 102 degrees have set records in several western and northern cities. Sioux Center's 102 broke a 32-year-old record for Aug. 30. Sioux City and Orange City also hit 102 on Thursday.

August will end on a hot note with temps in the mid 90's for most of Siouxland . Friday's record in Sioux City is only 96 degrees, so another record breaker isn't out of the question. Skies will be mostly sunny thru the weekend with highs in the lower 90's and expect a bit more humidity to build in as well.
