SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A Sioux City man has died from "major head injuries" after a crash in Sioux City Friday morning.

Police say just after 7:00 a.m., they were dispatched to the intersection of 4th Street and Iowa for a traffic wreck involving a motorcycle . Upon arrival, they say they found 22-year-old Daniel Norby lying in the South side of the intersection, unconscious. Witnesses told police Norby was riding a "wheelie", lost control of his motorcycle and clipped a pickup truck.

"Started sliding sideways, the motorcycle and the rider. They made contact with the curb, causing both the motorcycle and the rider to go airborne," said Sioux City Police Officer Brad Echter.

Norby was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the truck wasn't hurt.
