ArtSplash is for art lovers, crafty kids and more

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Art, food and fun are all part of this year's ArtSplash.

The Sioux City Art Center's 19th year of ArtSplash kicked off at Grandview Park Saturday.

Kids made crafts of their own and for art lovers there are works of art to check out.

This year, art center officials say more than 80 artists from across the country are displaying their art at ArtSplash.

"We have our artists that want to come to ArtSplash every year. They compete to come because this is a juried art show. So we get the best of the best that come to Sioux City and they love coming to Sioux City because the people are so friendly," Erin Webber-Dreeszen, an Art Center Employee said.

Family fun musical artists entertained the audience.

ArtSplash continues all day on Sunday until 5 p.m.

Admission is $5 with kids 11 and under are free.
