SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The President's campaign speech is part of his Road to Charlotte Tour. The Democratic Convention begins in Charlotte, North Carolina next week.
But, the road to the White House goes right through Iowa, a state Obama won by nine points four years ago, is now a toss up.
The President has visited the Hawkeye State seven times this year.
It's the first time he's come to Sioux City since before the 2008 caucus that launched his first presidential campaign.
This Labor Day Weekend, the President focused his speech on the economy.
We got a preview of what he's going to say earlier Saturday, when he spoke in Urbandale, Iowa.
The President focused on the middle class, talking about tax cuts and small businesses.
One of the small businesses highlighted in the speech is Anemometry Specialists, a wind energy company started ten years ago in Alta, Iowa.
The campaign notes that the business's owner is a Republican, but supports the President renewable energy initiative.
Current Ag Secretary and former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack introduced the president here in Sioux City.
