Buena Vista falls to UW-Platteville; Saturday's scores - KTIV News 4 Sioux City IA: News, Weather and Sports

Buena Vista turned the ball over three times in the first quarter and No. 23 UW-Platteview scored on its first seven possessions to hand the Beavers a 56-13 loss Saturday afternoon.

BV had just 18 yards of total offense after the first quarter, and were held off the scoreboard until the opening minutes of the third quarter.

Sophomore quarterback Bobby Brown completed 12-of-30 passes for 107 yards, and was intercepted three times.

Pioneers quarterback Nick Anderson was nearly flawless in the opener, completing 15-of-17 passes for 193 yards and four touchdowns.

The Beavers are on the road the next two weeks, taking on Concordia College Sept., 8.
