Monona County crash leaves man in critical condition

MONONA COUNTY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A South Dakota man is in critical condition after crashing his motorcycle in Monona County, Iowa.

Authorities were called to County Highway L-32 south of Mapleton just after eight o'clock last night.

The victim, 52-year old John Haas of Rapid City, lost control of his motorcycle near 190th Street, according to the Sheriff's Department.

He was airlifted in Mercy Medical Center.
