Campers enjoy the Labor Day weekend outside

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

While the weather was pretty hot this holiday weekend, that didn't stop people from enjoying the great outdoors.

Stone State Park officials say their camp sites weren't as busy as earlier summer holidays.

But, they still had quite a few campers over the weekend.

Campers say it's fun way to spend time with family.

"Just somewhere to go away for the weekend. Go hiking. Get out of town," Vince Mahoney, a camper at Stone Park said.

Stone State Park has 30 camping sites, and two cabin sites.
