Not everyone had the holiday off. A few moms gave the words Labor Day a whole new meaning.
Little Abel was one of four babies born at Sioux City's Saint Luke's Regional Medical Center Monday.
He came into the world three weeks early. His mom said laboring on Labor Day meant she had plenty of company at the hospital.
"It was ok because everybody had the day off. Nobody had to work, so it worked out good," said Destiny Whitsel of the friends and family that filled her hospital room.
Another plus Destiny points out, is that when Abel's birthday falls on Labor Day in the future, he won't have to go to school.
