The Sioux City Explorers won the final game of the 2012 season, 4-3, over Kansas City at Lewis and Clark Park on Monday night.
After four scoreless innings, the T-Bones (51-49) scored twice in the fifth to take a 2-0 lead.
Sioux City answered by scoring all of their runs in the bottom of the fifth. Adrian Martinez singled to bring in Ray Serrano to cut the KC lead to 2-1. With the bases loaded, Brian Bistagne singled to center to drive in Martinez and Ryan Priddy to give the X's their first lead at 3-2. Wally Backman followed with a base hit to right to bring in Mike Murphy for a 4-2 advantage.
Kansas City scored one run in the sixth on a solo home run by Brandon Jones.
Jason Jarvis, who was injected in the seventh inning for throwing at KC's Trevor Coleman got the win, running his season record to 9-8. He allowed three runs over six innings, struck out three, walked one and surrendered four hits.
Josh Rainwater (6-11) took the loss for the T-Bones. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed all four runs.
