ELK POINT, SD (KTIV) -
Folks in Elk Point, South Dakota go the polls Tuesday to decide whether to pay for a new community center. The current facility is the Elk Point Country Club building that is 45 years old. Some feel it's outdated and too small.
The proposal is to build a new community center on the same site at a cost of about one-million dollars. The polls are open at city hall from seven Tuesday morning until seven at night. The measure needs a simple majority to pass.
