Branstad selects 3A judge

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -

Iowa Governor Terry Branstad has appointed a new judge to the 3A judicial district.

Carl Peterson will fill the spot. He's currently serving as county attorney in Lyon County.

Peterson replaces Judge John Duffy, who recently retired.

The third district includes several Siouxland counties, including Woodbury County.
