Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney stopping in Siouxland

Mitt Romney plans a Friday rally in Siouxland. The Republican presidential nominee will speak at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa Friday at noon. The campaign event will be held at the Bultman Center gym. You need a ticket to attend. They are free and available at the college's Rowenhorst Student Center.

Le Mars Gehlen, Spalding Catholic high schools consider merger

Two northwest Iowa catholic schools are exploring a possible merger. Hundreds packed a meeting Wednesday night to hear about the proposal to combine Le Mars Gehlen and Spalding Catholic schools into one high school in Le Mars. Under the plan, both districts would keep their own K through 8th grade schools. More meetings will be held in the next few months. The two boards will submit a plan to the Bishop in December and vote in January.

UPDATE: Sioux Falls, SD based company purchases Terra Centre in downtown Sioux City

Sioux City's Terra Centre may soon have a new owner. Sioux Falls developer Don Dunham, Junior is in the process of buying the building. Dunham says he wants to renovate it and rent it out to businesses. The Terra Centre has been up for sale since last March after CF Industries moved its corporate jobs to its headquarters in Illinois.
