IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -

After managing a winning campaign on the hit NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation," the actors Rashida Jones and Adam Scott will be in Iowa this weekend to stump for President Barack Obama.
The Obama campaign announced Tuesday that Jones and Scott will appear at events on Saturday and Sunday at Drake University, Iowa State University, the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa.
Other details haven't been released. The campaign says they will speak with students about Obama's plans to make college more affordable, expand health care and create jobs.
On the show, Scott played the campaign manager for Leslie Knope, who won a small-town Indiana city council race by 21 votes after a recount. Jones also was a top adviser to Knope, played by actress Amy Poehler.
