Daugaard appointed as natural resources committee chair

PIERRE, S.D. (KTIV) -

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard has been selected as chairman of the National Governor's Association's natural resources committee.

The committee presides over issues involving land and agriculture management, water, energy and the environment.

The National Governor's Association was founded in 1908 as the collective voice of the nation's governors.

Members of its committees ensure that governors' views are represented in shaping federal policy.
