Flags are to fly at half-staff across the country Tuesday to mark the 11th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks.
Iowa Governor Terry Branstad has ordered flags to be lowered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at public buildings, grounds, and other facilities.
In Nebraska, Governor Dave Heineman also reminds residents to fly flags at half-staff in observance of Patriot Day.
In South Dakota, Governor Dennis Daugaard asks that all flags in the state be flown at half-staff from 8:00 a.m. until sunset in honor of those who lost their lives in terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11th, 2001.
