NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -
The Norfolk Nebraska Public School Board has approved its 2013 fiscal budget--with a tax cut for residents.
School officials say the tax levy will be .125 percent, which is about six cents lower than last year.
District leaders say they've been making concerted efforts to cut costs in the wake of continued declines in federal and state aid. The board expects that they'll need to use money from their cash reserve to balance this year's budget.
