Willy the boar weighs an impressive 1,160 pounds.
SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) -
If you head to the Clay County Fair's livestock barn this year, watch out for "pork-zilla." Folks there call him Willy, a near four-year-old bacon behemoth.
He's a mighty fine swine, weighing in at 1,160 pounds. Willy chews through 12 to 13 pounds of feed a day. He's the largest boar at the fair this year.
Owner, John Broek of Sioux Center, thinks Willy can get even bigger by next year.
"Everybody calls me crazy, and I kind of think I am too. Other guys golf, I feed old boars. I'll feed him some $8 corn, I guess," said Broek.
Broek has come to the Clay County Fair 61 years in a row. He says Willy is his biggest boar so far.
