YANKTON, S.D. (AP) -

An Army soldier from Yankton, South Dakota is recovering and said to be doing well after being wounded in Afghanistan this week.  22-year-old Pvt. Zack Haas suffered shrapnel wounds to one of his legs when the helicopter he was in came under a rocket attack.  That's according to his mother, Susie Gill.

Haas was deployed to Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Division in June.  Gill says she's looking forward to seeing her son in North Carolina at the end of month when he returns to the U.S. with the rest of his unit.
