Entrepreneurs were ready to sell their wares to crowds at the Clay County Fair.
Spencer, Iowa -
Nearly a dozen entrepreneurs were ready to sell their wares to crowds at the Clay County Fair in Spencer, Iowa.
Inside the Innovation Pavilion, you could find a presentation about "Startup Iowa".
The program focuses on the start up of companies, and provides Iowa entrepreneurs the resources and visibility to operate a business.
"It really is the community, it is the support, it is connecting young entrepreneurs, the young companies with the support they need to grow and now we're going to see it here in Spencer, we're bringing it home," Leann Jacobson, President Technology Association of Iowa said.
The "best startup" city in the state is Des Moines.
And, program organizers hope to "plant" new business by "farming out" some of that experience to northwest Iowa.
