Nebraska (1-1) plays Arkansas State on Saturday.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KTIV) -
Nebraska is 1-1 for the first time since the 2004 season.
Despite scoring 24 points in the first half, the Huskers were just held to two field goals in the second in a 36-30 loss to UCLA.
It doesn't get any easier for Nebraska as they welcome Arkansas State to Lincoln this weekend.
Nebraska's defense has been anything but stellar in the first two weeks.
Nebraska gave up 185 rushing yards in their win over Southern Miss.
The Big Red also gave up 653 total yards to UCLA in the loss last week, including 344 on the ground.
And that hasn't been sitting well with Head Coach Bo Pelini.
"I've been sick to my stomach since that game," Pelini said. "I felt like we should have won that football game. We didn't, and it hurts. It's hard to live with. But, you know what? You move on. You have to. It's part of the deal. It's a part of this profession."
