It was Iowa Corn Day at the Clay County Fair and the Iowa Corn Growers Association wants you to know just how important the crop is to the state and the country.

The ICGA had some displays and presentations to show fair-goers some of the ways corn is used. From animal feed to ethanol production, the ICGA says corn plays a major role in the state's economy.

"We need to be here at the Clay County Fair with our opportunity to educate young people on ways in which corn effects their lives as well as the adults that live in the state of Iowa," says Bruce Rohwer, the president of the Iowa Corn Growers Association.

The ICGA's presentation was on display for just one day in Spencer, Iowa just as it does for the Iowa State Fair.
