DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) -
Human trafficking, child pornography, drug cartels; the Preventing Abuse Foundation says these are the threats facing America's children. They want to help.
For a third time, the group will have a Preventing Abuse Conference in Iowa. Organizers say folks attending will meet specialists in law enforcement and more.
President of the Preventing Abuse Foundation, Tony Nassif, Jr. says the conference isn't just on the problems, but how to fix them.
"We're going to identify the problems, but we're going to focus on the solutions. So we're not going to just talk about the problem, we're going to focus on positive solutions," said Nassif.
The conference is October 19th at the Embassy Hotel in downtown Des Moines. It runs all day from 8 am to 7:45 pm. Tickets are $59. Check out the link if you'd like to grab some.
