Bo Pelini was back at work following a health scare on Saturday.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KTIV) -
Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini says he has a clean bill of health.
At his weekly press conference Pelini said he felt ill before Nebraska's game against Arkansas State on Saturday and that he progressively got worse as the game went on.
Pelini was taken by an ambulance to the hospital during half-time of Nebraska's 42-13 win over Arkansas State and was released Saturday evening.
The 44-year old coach returned to work Sunday to begin preparing for this week's game against Idaho State.
He says he has no heart problems or issues related to stress and that Saturday was "an isolated incident."
"That's obviously what the biggest concern is all the time. And, I don't have any heart issues," Pelini said during Monday's press conference. "I'm glad I wasn't watching when it was 28-10 and they had the ball down deep. Glad I wasn't watching then because maybe I would have because then I would have had a heart problem."
In other health news, Nebraska running back Rex Burkhead is expected to play Saturday against Idaho State.
He missed the past two games with a sprained ligament in his left knee.
Pelini says he's not sure how much game time Burkhead will see against the Bengals this Saturday.
The senior ran for almost 14-hundred yards last season.
