City council meetings in Sioux City will be changing next month.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
City council meetings in Sioux City will be changing next month.
City Manager, Paul Eckert, says weekly council meetings will be switching formats.
Study sessions will be held the first and third meetings of the month and the action issues taken up on the second and the fourth.
Eckert says this new format will allow for more engagement between the council, residents and businesses.
"Council is able to get more into the items and have more of the two way dialogue with staff or residents or businesses and develop the items more and then when they come back on that action meeting, they will have had more engagement with everyone involved," Paul Eckert, the Sioux City, City Manager said.
The format changes start October 1st.
