SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A Siouxland company will own a majority stake in Sioux City's downtown Terra Centre building, when the sale goes through next week.
They are also considering changing the building's name.
Ho-Chunk, Incorporated is the economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, and several other partners.
The corporation is partnering with Sioux Falls, South Dakota based developer Don Dunham, Junior to acquire the property.
Ho-Chunk cannot move its corporate offices into the building because its required to stay on tribal land.
However, company officials say they're considering creating a satellite office there.
Company officials also say they're considering changing the name of the building.
One of those names being Ho-Chunk Centre.
"We're excited about it and we really appreciate the partnerships that are developing in that acquisition," said Paul Eckert, Sioux City's City Manager.
Announcements on other tenants are expected to come in October.
The Terra Centre has been up for sale since in March of last year, after CF Industries moved its corporate jobs to its headquarters in Illinois.
