Kosama tests its trainers, raises money for Children's Miracle Network
"Train the Trainers" day at the Morningside site helped raise money for Children's Miracle Network.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The Kosama Fitness Center was packed Saturday morning with trainers working out for a cause.
It was part of "Train the Trainers" day at the Morningside site.
As part of a sponsorship with the Children's Miracle Network, each trainer took to the floor to perform cardiovascular and weight-training exercises.
Members of the fitness center chose the activities, and their trainers knew that they would be pushed to the limit, but this was the kind of payback they could enjoy, since it was for a good cause.
"The members will be the ones training us and pushing us. So, I have a feeling that I we'll be hearing a little bit of ourselves in them. So, it could be interesting," said Lisa Peterson, trainer for Kosama Fitness.
The trainers completed the full hour of training, completing 120 30-second sessions. All total, they raised about $2,300.
