UPDATE: Armed robber hits Sioux City smoke shop

An armed robbery happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Tobacco Hut. An armed robbery happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Tobacco Hut.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Sioux City police have updated the description of a man wanted for robbing the northside Tobacco Hut Saturday night.

Authorities say the suspect entered the business at 1900 27th Street,  displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk.  He then left on foot.

Sioux City police describe the suspect as an African-American male, 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 8, weighing 150 to 160 pounds.

The clerk also reported that he was wearing jeans and his face was covered by a mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sioux City police department.
