A Siouxland Olympian received a hero's welcome in his hometown, Saturday.
Olympic Pole Vaulter Jeremy Scott met with friends and fans in his hometown of Norfolk as part of the first annual Norfolk Oktoberfest.
Scott took part in the Lions Club Parade, then signed autographs and took pictures. He was also presented with the key to the city.
"To have that many people come up and say 'Congratulations!' and 'We were watching you!' and the applause along the parade route this morning was pretty flattering," said Scott.
Scott said he's taking some time of, but does plan to begin training again soon to make a second Olympic run.
