SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Three people were hurt, including two children, after a chain collision crash that sent a woman to the hospital and backed up traffic.

The five-car pile-up happened Saturday afternoon at the corner of Hamilton Boulevard and West 4th Street.

A woman was taken to Mercy Medical Center to treat her minor injuries, while two children were treated at the scene.

Police say four cars were sitting at a red light, when an SUV driven by 69-year old Leslie Kinker barreled into them from behind.

Kinker was cited for failure to stop.

"Unsure exactly what speeds the vehicle was going. We're not sure if that was a factor," said Brad Gorter of the Sioux City Police Department.

A sixth car in the front of the left turn lane was not damaged in the crash.
