SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

One person is taken to the hospital after an accident on Interstate 29 Monday afternoon.

Sioux City Police officers say a semi truck was traveling south on I-29, when it merged into the right lane where a car was.

They say the car tried to get over to avoid a collision and then merged onto the exit lane at 147A off of I-29.

The car went off the road and down into the ditch.

The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officers are trying to run plates to find the semi truck driver.
