SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

More details are available after a weekend break-in at a Sioux City, Iowa home.

Police say Walter Pettiford broke into 1306 Main Street around 2:30 Sunday morning, and confronted a couple. Court documents allege once inside, Pettiford hit a man on the left side of head with a baseball bat. Another woman inside the residence tried to stop the assault, but was bit on the hand by Pettiford.

Documents say Pettiford bit her a second time in the thigh before dragging her out of the house, and forcing her to go with him. Pettiford was found a few blocks away.

He's been charged with robbery and kidnapping.
