NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -
As the tenth anniversary of one of the deadliest bank robberies in American history approaches, a Siouxland community will be coming together to continue the healing process.
The Norfolk Ministerial Association is planning a public remembrance ceremony Wednesday morning to honor the lives lost in the US Bank Murders on Sept. 26, 2002.
NMA officials say the ceremony will be held at the memorial garden where the bank once stood at the corner of 13th Street and Pasewalk Avenue in Norfolk.
The service is being held to reflect on the five who lost their lives that day. And, to continue the healing process for those involved, the families, the first responders and the general public.
The public is welcome to join attend the ceremony which will begin at 10 a.m.
Coming up tonight at ten, we'll look back on that fateful day ten years ago and how the community has attempted to move on and grow in the decade since the bank murders.
