SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

No one was severely injured after three separate accidents involving 11 vehicles closed a portion of Interstate 29 Thursday morning.

Officials say it happened at 7:45 near the reconstruction of the 4 Corners Bridge on I-29 South. That's they say when a semi struck the rear-end of a small car. The crash triggered a chain reaction, causing five other vehicles to be rear-ended. Two separate accidents occurred as a result.

Authorities say no one was severely injured or required transport to a hospital. They also say the cause of the what initially stopped traffic is still being investigated.
