IOWA CITY, IA (KTIV) -- -
The Hawkeyes also start conference play on Saturday against 4-0 Minnesota.
Iowa Quarterback James Vandenberg threw for 25 touchdowns last season, but only has one this season, and the Hawks are 2-2.
Head coach Kirk Ferentz says the offense's struggles are not all on the QB.
"To just look at the quarterback, which I understand is what everybody does on offensive analysis, it's not quite as simple as that," said Ferentz. "I'll just say this, I'm glad he's our quarterback and I'm glad he's going to be our quarterback for the next eight games. I think he's a heck of a player and a heck of a young man."
Iowa and Minnesota start at 11:00 AM Saturday on ESPN 2. The Hawks are 6 and a half point favorites despite losing to the Gophers the last two seasons
