SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The non-profit of Sioux City's Argosy Casino and its operator met behind closed doors on Thursday night.
Missouri River Historical Development and Penn National Gaming's subsidiary, the Belle of Sioux City, share the Argosy's state gaming license.
Neither group will say what they discussed in their special session.
Recently though, Belle filed a lawsuit against MRHD.
Company officials say the non-profit's ongoing attempt to seek a new gaming operator breaches a contract both signed in June.
MRHD officials have called the suit "baseless." MRHD's next meeting is set for Monday.
The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission met Thursday in Dubuque, Iowa, but the future of the Argosy was not on the agenda.
The IRGC will meet again in November.
